2014 Cork and Keg   Saturday, February 8, 2014  Chewelah Civic Center 6-9 p.m. Extravagant food, wine and beer tasting, silent auction.  Tickets on sale starting in November 2013.

The Chewelah Valley Lions Club chartered in 1990 and quickly became active in community volunteerism.  We are a diversified group of individuals seeking to improve the quality of life for those in need.  We continually endeavor to meet the needs of those who are visually and hearing impaired in the community.

The Chewelah Valley Lions Club invites any residents of the community who enjoy good fellowship and helping others to consider becoming a member. Contact any existing member for more information. The club meets at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion in Chewelah every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month except July & August.

Ø ½ Century 50 Mile Bike Ride

Ø  Blood drives in conjunction with the Inland Northwest Blood Center

 

Ø  Lions Vision & Hearing  Screening Van

 

Ø  Benefit dinners and auctions

 

Ø  Roadside cleanup 2 miles of Hwy 395

 

Ø  Acceptance of donated used eyeglasses and hearing aids.

 

Ø  Peace poster contest with local school children

 

Ø  Members volunteer in other community organizations including:  the food bank, arts guild, local churches

 

Ø  Scholarships for graduating high school seniors

 

Ø  Pet Rescue in Stevens County
